Neighbourhoods Team Early Morning Knock, Earls Court

Good Morning Earls Court Ward, 

PC Hall, Pc Coggins and PC Hunter have been on duty since 0430hrs this morning. We have been investigating Drug activity in an address on the Earls Court ward and were able to secure and execute a search warrant under Section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 from the Magistrates Court.  Other officers from other wards joined in the early morning start for extra pairs of hands for searching.

The door was “knocked” at 0600hrs which has lead to one suspect arrested. 

The address was given a 48 hour closure order which means that only the occupant can enter the flat for the next 48 hours. Any other person who is found in the property is liable for arrest. This is also a notice to serve to the occupant to inform them that officers intend to apply for a closure order to the Magistrates Court to close the address for a further three (3) month period. This prevents anyone, including the occupant, entering the flat.

A good result for the Earls Court ward, celebrated with a sausage sandwich on return to the station.
